The Tokyo New Designer Fashion Grand Prix was established by Onward Kashiyama in 1984, and has produced many prominent designers over the years. In addition to the Amateur Category, which targets students and attracts the world’s largest number of applications, the Professional Category, introduced in 2011, discovers designers who are active around the world and supports their business.
TOKYO NEW DESIGNER FASHION GRAND PRIX Professional Category have supported the Tokyo based emerging fashion designers and we introduce 5 up-and-coming brands from 2018’s selection. Also, Amateur Category, which is one of the world’s largest fashion award for students, shows catwalk and announces the winners at the award ceremony.
One of the world’s largest fashion awards for students. Many winners have gone on to become professional designers who have their own brands and are now active in the global fashion industry. A catwalk show and an award ceremony will be held as the Amazon Fashion Week TOKYO related event in October.
